He makes me feel free.

Today, we held hands and I felt like I could fly.

There’s this song called Mr. Magic, a cover done by Amy Winehouse of Grover Washington, Jr.’s original. Well, every time I hear Winehouse’s version… I think of him.

He understands me. He feels me.

It’s mutual… It’s a good thing.

You see, I liked a guy before him… A guy similar to my siblings that turned out to be something I know I’m no longer attracted to. We had good times, but I’m sure his happy with his carbon copy of himself he found.

But this guy, he’s smooth. He’s my Mr. Magic. :)

He makes my thoughts stop when we’re together.

We spend just about half our days with each other. He understands me. He has patience. He knows me.

It’s nice.

And we enjoy each other’s company. The other day I saw a picture of Ruby Dee and Ossie. I smiled at how their bond is something I would want.

Funny thing is, he’s nothing I had expected, but everything I prayed for.
